Sarzana, 23 November 2023 – Intermarine, a company in the Immsi listed industrial group (IMS.MI), has been awarded the contract put out to tender by Italy’s Interior Ministry for the supply of 8 multifunctional fire-fighting vessels to be used by the national fire-fighting corps for rescue operations at sea.

The Intermarine multifunctional fire-fighting vessels are highly sophisticated units equipped with latest-generation technology, guaranteeing high added value for the specific capabilities of fire-fighters working at sea. The boats will be certified by the Italian Naval Register to perform both rescue and fire-fighting operations in off-shore navigation conditions.

Intermarine specialises in the design and construction of hi-tech naval units and is one of the world’s leading builders of passive defence vessels (it has designed minehunters in 9 different configurations). It constructs the longest self-righting unsinkable units ever built in Italy and some of the world’s largest search and rescue vessels, as well as high-speed multifunctional patrol boats.

The parties will sign the contract in the next few days, in line with the usual administrative procedures.
